On our way down, we saw a beautiful sunset over Lake Pontchartrain heading into the city.
On Friday morning, we headed to the French Quarter for some beignets at Cafe Du Monde. They were just as good as I remembered!
We walked around Royal Street, did some shopping, went to an art museum and then headed back to our hotel for a nap! That night, we had dinner at Herbsaint (which was delicious...all credit to our tour guide, Will!)
We saw Wicked and loved it! Afterwards, we had our picture taken at our hotel. (we also got a picture at the restaurant but Joey's eyes were closed:).
We loved our weekend away...but couldn't wait to get back and here what Joseph had been up to. He had a great time with the grandparents and didn't seem to have time to miss us much!
