The weeks are starting to take on a familiar routine in St. Andrews and we are enjoying feeling at "home". Joseph loves school and James loves going to "James' school", as he calls it. Joey is busy studying. And, I'm actually getting the hang of driving our car which makes life here much easier!
We recently celebrated the official start to school. More students arrived and the University held several events to kick off another year. This year is particularly special because the University of St Andrews is celebrating 600 years. For a little perspective, MSU celebrated 135 years while we were in Starkville. So, 600 is quite the accomplishment!! Hilary Clinton, Rowan Williams (former Archbishop of Canterbury), and Jane Goodall were on hand for the festivities and to receive honorary degrees.
We went to barbecues, meet and greets, and various other get-togethers. On the night of a barbecue for the St. Mary's graduate students, we went to the North Sea to see fireworks in honor of the 600 years.
In the midst of these beautiful, ancient buildings, we found the perfect hill for rolling.
That evening, the graduate students held a bonfire at the Castle Sands on the North Sea. The boys loved exploring and eating a few roasted marshmallows before heading home.

Amazing fireworks
The next weekend, we spent Saturday morning exploring the Balgove Larder. It's a quaint restaurant/foodie paradise just a few minutes outside of St. Andrews. Our guests, Jonathan and Amy joined us before Amy headed back to the States.
the boys watching the cows (and sheep)
After brunch, we headed into town to do a little exploring. We had yet to see St. Salvator's quad and decided to take some pictures while exploring.
College Hall
St. Salvator's Chapel
Doesn't take long for little boys to figure out just what to do
Even big boys can't help but join in the fun
Love the iconic British phonebooth
We walked around some more in town and at the Cathedral and even stopped to let the boys see Joey's office at the Roundel.

Kate and Joey,
Nice reports of your travels and outings with the boys. I trust you are completely at home now and ready to settle in for the winter. We miss you here in Starkville but are gratified that you are making such good progress there. God bless you all and will keep following you with pride.
