A few weekends ago we drove to the Old Course to watch part of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Admission was free on Saturday and the weather was pleasant so we loaded up the boys for their first taste of live golf.
The course is right by the beach so we headed on over to the West Sands as we walked back toward our car.
We tried our best to stay quiet (and the boys did a great job!). We walked right next to the course and kept our eyes peeled for celebrities or professional golfers (Hugh Grant, Kyle Maclachlan and Vijay Singh were playing).

There is a path that divides the course where you can walk from one side to the other. They let us walk through which put us so close to the action.

It was a lovely weekend at the birthplace of golf. We feel kind of guilty for not playing the sport but are trying to soak it all in for our golfing friends and family.
