Beach Trip

At the end of our trip to the States, we got to spend a week at the beach with Gran and Grandaddy and our cousins.

The older boys were more adventurous this year and loved getting out into the ocean. Four fun boys means lots of hard playing at the beach!

We love getting to see Aunt Kay and Uncle Keith on our yearly beach trip.

The boys spent most of their time playing in a stream/lake that runs next to our house.

On our last day, the ever changing stream/lake was completely cut-off from the ocean. Someone started digging to try to release the water and James jumped in to try his hand at it. It looked like an unlikely task but before long the water pushed through and started to flow out into the ocean. The boys LOVED going down the "waterslide" until it turned into raging rapids and we had to pull them out. Once it settled down, they got back in. Great, exciting end to our trip!
