Our second day was much like our first with Joey heading out early for the conference. The boys and I had more of a plan this time since our outing alone went so well the first day.

The conference that Joey went to was close to the Colosseum so he saw some great sights on his morning and evening walks. One day, he walked through Campo di Fiori and decided that we needed to see it. It is also home to a bakery that I wanted to visit so it was the perfect destination for one of our evening walks.

Joey made coffee each morning with our stove-top espresso maker and we drank it out of the middle cup. An adjustment but so delicious!

Our first stop was this bustling bakery with so many delicious items it was hard to pick! We got pastries for breakfast and the kind men gave free tastes of bread to the boys.

we just missed a little photo shoot of a bride and groom
Piazzas were always filled with performers and we were thankful to happen upon such an entertaining one. She made lots of bubbles with various instruments and the boys had a blast chasing after them.
On our first night out to dinner, we went to Dar Poeta (http://www.darpoeta.com/index_en.html). It's a pizza place tucked away on an alley in Trastevere. We squeezed in to an empty table and there was a line to get in as we were leaving. All good signs that we picked a great place!
