For Spring Break this year, we decided to travel to Barcelona. With the weather still shaking off winter and feeling a little chilly, it was nice to escape to a warm, sunny climate.
We then walked to Parc de la Ciutadella and saw the Cascada. It was created for an exhibit in 1888 and took 6 years to complete. Barcelona's renowned architect, Anton Gaudi, helped design it while he was working as an apprentice.
Barcelona did not disappoint with its colorful landscape and beautiful quaint streets. I love wandering around and getting lost in these lovely old cities. So thankful for these escapes and the chance to experience a new culture!
When traveling with kids, we've learned it's best to research lots of options of places to eat and try to find something that lets us sample the local cuisine while also making sure our growing, hungry boys will find something they enjoy. We stumbled upon Orio and had a lovely first tapas experience.

Barcelona is definitely an easy place to travel to as the airport transportation is so seamless, the city is not hard to navigate and so many people speak English. Joey and I both took French so we aren't much help with figuring out the Spanish language. Once we took the quick easy bus from the airport to the city center, we set out to find our flat for the week. It was perfect for us and in a great location. https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/832112?euid=ec530ffd-0162-3ceb-6c7c-404273a6a79c
We got settled and headed out to explore a little. Joey led us to the Arc de Triomf where we found a bubble performer. The boys had a great time chasing bubbles and soaking in the sun!

Before leaving the park, the boys found a playground and ran off some energy before we continued exploring.
