This semester has been busy and I've failed to keep this blog somewhat updated. Here is a little catch-up before I post some about our most recent family trip to Barcelona.
Joseph spent part of his October holiday at Soccer Camp. It's always a fun time and he and his friend Luke loved going and spending the week together.
On Halloween, we had a few friends over for Chili and trick-or-treating. Joseph was a character from his then favorite book series "Beast Quest" and James was reveling in MSU's thrilling football season by being a "Sippy State" player.
In October, our one car broke down so we were out a vehicle for a week. Many of our friends here actually don't have cars because it's easy to live close to town and walk everywhere. "Easy" in that there are sidewalks. It is definitely a challenge to walk everywhere, especially in the crazy Scottish winds and rainy days. Our days were slower without our car but we made it fine and enjoyed a nice Autumn day as we walked over a mile to Church. It is amazing how a different culture changes you and shifts your perspective. I would have never imagined walking from our house in Starkville to our Church downtown, yet that distance is actually shorter than the distance from our house in St. Andrews to town.

We love St. Andrews Day and this years was especially wonderful due to the amazing weather on that late November day. We spent the day in town, at the Royal and Ancient, at a Christmas Fair at the Old Course Hotel, and enjoying a new book store.

Joseph blew us away with his performance in the school Nativity. He had the honor of introducing the play and being one of the narrators. We were so proud to see how far he has come from not wanting to be up front to thriving in the spotlight. It was a lovely performance with all of his friends having special roles.
