Well, it's been over a year since this blog has been updated. Yikes!! So much has happened...and hopefully, I'll do a quick catch up post soon. But, for now, I wanted to share where we are and where we soon will be. The Sherrard family of 4 is currently preparing to fly overseas to live in St. Andrews, Scotland for a few years while Joey studies towards a PhD. We spent the last few weeks saying goodbye to our beloved Starkville. We sold our house. We sold two cars. We loaded up almost everything we own into a storage facility and now we are packing for our flight on Tuesday, August 6!
Our last Sunday at First Pres Starkville was so bittersweet. The fellowship committee put on a wonderful farewell luncheon for our family after Church and we were overwhelmed with the love shown to us. Having to say goodbye to FPC and the people there has been one of the hardest parts of leaving.
Before the boys headed down to Vicksburg, they had their last days at "school". We have LOVED their little school in Starkville where Joseph has gone at least once a week since he was 17 months old.
Our buyers let us stay one extra night in the house since we still had a little to finish up. It was such a blessing to have the extra time to clean up and pack and to truly say goodbye to a house that we have loved so much.
July was such a busy month that we hardly saw some of our closest friends before leaving Starkville. Thankfully, they drove down to Jackson so we could have a playdate at the Children's museum. It was a great time of playing for the kids and catching up for the adults.

Gran and Grandaddy took the boys to Vicksburg and we got started packing. The empty truck made us feel like there was so much room but before long it was completely full. Many friends came to help us load it and I don't know what we would have done without them.
Dinner on what we thought was our last night in the house
a very full u-haul truck
